Staying Safe at Solaris HealthCare: Our Emergency Preparedness
At Solaris HealthCare, the safety and well-being of our residents are our top priorities. We maintain comprehensive emergency plans that meet all Local, State, and Federal regulations. These plans provide clear guidance to our trained staff for responding to various emergencies, such as hurricanes and power outages.
Key Elements of Our Emergency Preparedness:
- Comprehensive Planning: Our detailed Emergency Plan is aligned with local and federal guidelines.
- Trained Staff: Our team is thoroughly educated and prepared to implement emergency procedures.
- Emergency Cooling: All Solaris HealthCare locations have a State and County approved Emergency Cooling Plan, including on-site generators and designated cool zones.
- Communication Continuity: In the event of phone outages, we have alternative communication methods, including satellite phones and multiple cell phones. Alternative contact numbers are available by contacting the receptionist.
- Website Updates: During an emergency, important updates will be posted on the Solaris HealthCare website: https://solarishealthcare.org/
- Sheltering in Place: Our standard procedure is to ensure resident safety by sheltering in place within the facility. However, we also have agreements with other healthcare facilities should evacuation become necessary.
