These plans provide clear guidance to our trained staff for responding to various emergencies, such as hurricanes and power outages.

 

Key Elements of Our Emergency Preparedness:

• Comprehensive Planning: Our detailed Emergency Plan is aligned with local and federal guidelines.
• Trained Staff: Our team is thoroughly educated and prepared to implement emergency procedures.
• Emergency Cooling: All Solaris HealthCare locations have a State and County approved Emergency Cooling Plan, including on-site generators and designated cool zones.
• Communication Continuity: In the event of phone outages, we have alternative communication methods, including satellite phones and multiple cell phones. Alternative contact numbers are available by contacting the receptionist.
• Website Updates: During an emergency, important updates will be posted on the Solaris HealthCare website: https://solarishealthcare.org/
• Sheltering in Place: Our standard procedure is to ensure resident safety by sheltering in place within the facility. However, we also have agreements with other healthcare facilities should evacuation become necessary.
